What the specs mean for you

A 0.45 L brass coffee boiler is paired with a separate thermoblock for steam and hot water. It has two heat paths, but it is not a dual-boiler machine. PID holds brew temperature steady shot to shot — the single biggest upgrade over a thermostat-only machine at this tier. Pre-infusion wets the puck gently before full pressure, which helps extraction on lighter roasts. No built-in grinder — budget for a separate burr grinder; that's a real second purchase first-machine buyers often underestimate. Its 58mm portafilter is what determines which third-party baskets, tampers and bottomless portafilters fit — accessories sized for a different mm won't.

Who it's for

Enthusiast / dialed-in — Temperature control, pre-infusion and flow for chasing the perfect shot.
Latte & cappuccino — Steam power and simultaneous brew/steam for milk-heavy drinks.
Small kitchen — Compact machines for tight counters.
