What the specs mean for you

Heat exchanger: one boiler held at steam temperature lets you pull a shot and steam milk back-to-back without waiting. No PID, so expect more shot-to-shot temperature drift than on a PID-equipped machine — a common tradeoff at this tier. Pre-infusion wets the puck gently before full pressure, which helps extraction on lighter roasts. No built-in grinder — budget for a separate burr grinder; that's a real second purchase first-machine buyers often underestimate. Its 58mm portafilter is what determines which third-party baskets, tampers and bottomless portafilters fit — accessories sized for a different mm won't.

Who it's for

The boiler, in plain terms

A single boiler kept at steam temperature with a heat-exchanger tube drawing brew water through it — so you can pull a shot and steam milk at the same time. The prosumer sweet spot. See every heat exchanger (hx) machine →
