What the specs mean for you

Dual boiler: brew and steam are independently temperature-controlled, so back-to-back milk drinks don't compromise shot temperature. PID holds brew temperature steady shot to shot — the single biggest upgrade over a thermostat-only machine at this tier. Pre-infusion wets the puck gently before full pressure, which helps extraction on lighter roasts. The built-in grinder means one machine and no separate purchase, at the cost of less control over grind range than a dedicated burr grinder. Its 54mm portafilter is what determines which third-party baskets, tampers and bottomless portafilters fit — accessories sized for a different mm won't.

Who it's for

The boiler, in plain terms

Separate boilers for brew and steam, each independently temperature-controlled. The most stable, most flexible architecture — and the most expensive. See every dual boiler machine →
